Assistant Director of Sales and Operations

Our Client is a French Fortune 500 company in service business. Reporting line: Director of Sales and Operations - Greater China

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing the sales operation in China through the support and management of the existing Program Management Teams, ensuring annual unit sales and revenue targets are exceeded;
• Assist in the preparation of annual operational budgets, business plans and forecasts, incorporating analysis on both short-term ROI and long-term strategic returns for planned initiatives;
• Develop sales and operations strategies and plans maximizing the use of available resources and opportunities. Coordinate and monitor the execution of plans, including taking a hands-on approach when required;
• Improve talent attraction, retention and development at both the sales person and the management levels, by ensuring the optimum outcomes from initiatives and by taking a hands-on approach to investigation and people development;
• Ensure the benefits of the organization’s scale in operations and experience are maximized through the facilitation of the sharing of learning, operational efficiencies and best practice;
• Conduct research and produce reports as required on a range of operational issues including; new market potential, competitors, customer profiling and changes in local law that may impact the operation;
• Support the development of a sales focused culture within the organization, characterized by long-term sustainable growth in a transparent and people development focused management environment.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or in excess of 15 years working experience;
• 8+ years working experience, including 3+ years in a senior management role in a multinational company with sales responsibility managing at least 6 subordinates;
• High degree of emotional intelligence is people orientated and is excellent in people management, development and motivation;
• Preference will be given to candidate with solid telemarketing industry;
• Excellent strategy, planning and execution skills. Is able to catch every opportunity and enjoys taking a hands-on approach;
• Outstanding communication skills both in Mandarin and English;
• Is able to travel domestically for business and can be flexible with working hours as required.
